ACL’s OWN!  Lenna Kutner’s The Magic of Norumbega Book

The ACL is proud to have a new title on our shelves…The Magic of Norumbega, by our very own Lenna Kutner.  Lenna is a founding volunteer/board member at the ACL and she has written a wonderful children’s book set in a 1940s Norumbega Park.  She even held focus groups with local ACL kids to test-run the story before it was published!  A neighborhood classic in the making…

The Magic of Norumbega is a story of friendship, loyalty, and bravery, and a lovable dog who finds herself in a heap of trouble when she takes a trip into the past.  Blending fantasy with history, the tale takes place around 1940 in the real-life setting of Norumbega Park, once considered New England’s finest amusement park, and home to the renowned Totem Pole Ballroom.  At times funny, sometimes scary, and occasionally sad, the dog’s adventures and her happy outcome will have children reading the book over again and again.  For more information about The Magic of Norumbega, visithttp://www.magicnorumbega.com/
