We are open:
- Tuesdays 10am-12pm
- Wednesdays 2-4pm (new!)
- Thursdays 4-8pm
- Saturdays 10am-3pm
We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 25 and 27.
Occasionally, for example during a heatwave, we were able to open for additional hours as a cool, air-conditioned space for you to escape the heat. Follow us on Facebook to get the latest updates on these impromptu openings and more.
During the visits, we are still asking for your help in wearing a mask in order to provide a safe and welcoming space for all patrons including families with children who may not be vaccinated yet and others who may be immunocompromised. Thank you for understanding.
With browsing at the library up and running we’ve made a decision to suspend our To-Go operations. If for any reason you still need to request books for pick up please call the library at 617 552-7158 and leave a message or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Auburndale Community Library is a non-profit community library staffed by volunteers and funded 100% by donations. Please click here for more information about activities at our library.
Oversized items can be returned during our volunteer-staffed hours in the bin outside the front of the library. Items that can fit in our mail slot in the door on Auburn St. facing the Pike may be returned at any time at your convenience.
The ACL may be closed during inclement weather. In case of snow or ice, we advise phoning the library to double check. We generally follow the lead of the City of Newton/Newton Public Schools.
The general rule is that we’re closed on holiday Saturdays, but also for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. If you’re ever unsure, just give a call or check our FaceBook page.
