Although the City of Newton has dropped their indoor mask mandate for public spaces, we are still asking you to wear a mask in order to provide a safe and welcoming space. This will help all patrons including families with very young children who may not be vaccinated, and others who may be immunocompromised. Thank you for understanding!
If for any reason you still need to request books for pick up, please call the library at 617 552-7158 and leave a message or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Auburndale Community Library is a non-profit community library staffed by volunteers and funded 100% by donations. Please click here for more information about activities at our library.
Oversized items can be returned during our volunteer-staffed hours listed above. Items that can fit in our mail slot in the door on Auburn St. facing the Pike may be returned at any time at your convenience.
The ACL may be closed during inclement weather. In case of snow or ice, we advise phoning the library to double check. We generally follow the lead of the City of Newton/Newton Public Schools.
The general rule is that we’re closed on holiday Saturdays, but also for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. If you’re ever unsure, just give a call or check our FaceBook page.
