While we’re closed for visitors, you can order books from our library–and can even request bicycle delivery to Auburndale, West Newton, and Lower Falls if it’s difficult for you to get out!
The Auburndale Community Library is a non-profit community library staffed by volunteers and funded 100% by donations. Please click here for more information about activities at our library.
We are currently closed but open for door-side pick up on Tuesdays and Saturdays 10am-12pm. Oversized items can be returned during these volunteer-staffed hours in the bin outside the front of the library. Items that can fit in our mail slot in the door on Auburn St. facing the Pike may be returned at any time at your convenience.
The ACL may be closed during inclement weather. In case of snow or ice, we advise phoning the library to double check. We generally follow the lead of the City of Newton/Newton Public Schools.
The general rule is that we’re closed on holiday Saturdays, but also for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. If you’re ever unsure, just give a call or send an email.
