Back by popular demand: flower arranging at the ACL! Treat yourself to a fun night out learning a new skill, and head home with a beautiful flower arrangement.
Join us at this hands-on workshop to learn how to create an interesting, adaptable, holiday arrangement that’s fun to make. Our focus will be on Christmas and Hanukah, however we will also demonstrate how to adapt this basic design to other holidays and events (New Year’s Eve, Birthdays, etc.). You can keep the arrangement for yourself, or give it to a deserving host or hostess.
This class is intended for adults or teens (14 and over)
Supplies fee – $25 payable at registration (scholarships available)
Pre-registration is required! The class will be capped at 15 participants.
Email us to register – activities@auburndalelibrary.org
We supply the materials (containers, flowers, etc), and the instruction. You provide the creativity and your hidden talents. All you need to bring is a scissors or clippers to cut the plant material, and a small trash bag.
The workshop will be taught by long time Newton residents, Joanne Lyons and Susan Lunin. The instructors have entered arrangements in many flower shows, and they are currently Co-presidents of the Temple Shalom Garden Club in West Newton. They are both also on the Board of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts and they led the effort in Newton to plant the “Marathon Daffodils” along Commonwealth Avenue.
