Author Susan Axe-Bronk will read her new book, The Vanishing Gourds at the ACL this coming Tuesday. This book is a lighthearted backyard mystery that gracefully captures the seasonal spirit of the joyous Jewish celebration of Sukkot, reflecting its appreciation of the natural world. This story is also about gratitude and discovering that sometimes you get just what you want when you least expect it. The Vanishing Gourds will capture the imagination of children of all backgrounds from preschoolers to early elementary school students. Marta Monelli’s large format illustrations beautifully reflect the colors of the season.
