Calling Our ACL Teen Volunteers! Fall Planning Meeting, Saturday September 20th at 11:00 am

Are you a teen who loves books or libraries?  Do you have a youth living at home who would like to become involved in super-local, low-key community service?  We have a mighty crew of teens (and NEAR-teens, “tweens” are swell) who help us plan and run activities at the library.

We’re having an informal planning meeting on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am.  Ideas we’re kicking around include:

  • Linking up with the Spilling Ink group to assist with special projects for their blog
  • Freshening the art and book display in the teen area
  • Running a Halloween craft for little ones in late October

Anyone who is interested in learning more is encouraged to attend (we’ll have donuts!!!!) or you may email if you cannot join us.  GUYS are welcome, too!  We’d love to add some teen-run guy-friendly activities in addition to our beloved Magic Club.  Perhaps Manga?  Or digital photography? Teens are typically behind anything cool we do at the ACL.  Join our crew.
