Calling Our ACL Teen Volunteers! Fall Planning Meeting, Saturday September 20th at 11:00 am

Are you a teen who loves books or libraries?  Do you have a youth living at home who would like to become involved in super-local, low-key community service?  We have a mighty crew of teens (and NEAR-teens, “tweens” are swell) who help us plan and run activities at the library.

We’re having an informal planning meeting on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am.  Ideas we’re kicking around include:

  • Linking up with the Spilling Ink group to assist with special projects for their blog
  • Freshening the art and book display in the teen area
  • Running a Halloween craft for little ones in late October

Anyone who is interested in learning more is encouraged to attend (we’ll have donuts!!!!) or you may email danakhanson@gmail.com if you cannot join us.  GUYS are welcome, too!  We’d love to add some teen-run guy-friendly activities in addition to our beloved Magic Club.  Perhaps Manga?  Or digital photography? Teens are typically behind anything cool we do at the ACL.  Join our crew.
