We’ve received so many recent requests for youth/teenage ACL volunteers that we thought it might make sense to have a quick meeting to brainstorm about youth volunteerism at the library. We invite interested youth to join us for a meeting this coming Saturday (9/24) at 10 am to discuss the following:
- how youth can drop in and lend a hand volunteering at any time at the ACL
- tasks that need to be done at the library on a weekly basis
- special interests that YOUTH have–like, would they like to read stories to kids? run crafts? start a young adult book review & blog?
Our first order of business will be to make some new volunteer nametags for the ACL–we’re running low. It’ll be fun n’ crafty.
