Meet Jane Roper, Author of Eden Lake on July 14th at 7:30 pm

Save the evening of July 14th for an exciting event at the ACL! Come and join us for a fun evening of smores, trail mix, and thoughtful conversation as we meet with Jane Roper, author of the new novel Eden Lake. The book is set in 1998 at a progressive children’s summer camp in Maine, whose visionary director dies unexpectedly, leaving his adult children to sort out the future of the camp and, in so doing, their own lives. The book was inspired in part, by the Maine summer camps Jane’s parents worked at or owned during her childhood.

“Eden Lake is an unusually accomplished debut novel about love and loss and the absurdities of summer camp. Jane Roper writes with quiet authority and sly humor about a large and intriguing cast of characters.” — Tom Perrotta, New York Times bestselling author of Election, Joe College and Little Children
