Hot reads at the ACL

What we lack in huge library power, we make up for in SPADES with our “best move”: fantastic accessibility to best sellers/hot books. Books that have hundreds of holds on the Minuteman Library Network can often be found hanging out on our shelves, just waiting for you to come and get ’em. (You may always call ahead and see if something’s in before making the trip!)

Here’s a sampling of the latest and greatest at the ACL:

Grown Up Reads
Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother – Amy Chua
The Memory Palace – Mira Barton
The Red Garden – Alice Hoffman
Strategic Moves – Stuart Woods
Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter – Tom Franklin
The House on Sugar Beach – Helene Cooper
Poser – My Life in Twenty-three Yoga Poses – Claire Dederer

For the Tots
2011 Caldecott and Newbery Winners and Honor Books, and more, come and get ’em!:

A Sick Day for Amos McGee – 2011 Caldecott Medal – Philip Christian Stead
One Crazy Summer- Rita Garcia-Williams
Turtle in Paradise – Jennifer L. Holm
Art & Max – David Wiesner
